Impressive vintage fruit still life oil on canvas features two apples with beautiful reflective appearance, ceramic pitcher, a sort of flame like red background most probably a fireplace behind the scene and an "H" like monogram that refers to artist family name.  This is an original oil painting signed top left corner "- Vic Erna -" pseudonym of Victor Hernalsteens (Belgium 1931-2003), active from the 1950s to late 1900.  A Belgian school painter and watercolorist known for his impressionist style in portraying still lifes, nudes, portraits, figures and landscape paintings. The painting is beautifully mounted in a quality gilt and lacquered wood frame with dark green velvet accent custom made by Schleiper & Fils S.A. Brussels, Belgium under Schleiper & Fils Paris, France also a sticker foil doré a la feuille (frame with applied golden leaf) modele depose by Schleiper.  In very good condition with traces of wear, treated minor woodworm holes and few minor details consistent to age.  Kindly refer to the images as integral part of the descriptions.  I do my best to provide photos that honestly reflect the character of the piece.
