Stunning antique Neo-Gothic crucifix featuring a quality plaster corpus of Jesus Christ mounted on a carved wooden cross. Both the corpus and cross are finely hand-painted with gilded and multicolored polychrome details, reflecting the craftsmanship, artistry, and devotion of the late 19th century. In very good condition with traces of wear, some patina flaking on the corpus and light traces of wear on the cross and other details consistent to age and artisan craftsmanship which enhance its authentic vintage character.
