A majestic hand-painted Limoges porcelain lidded vase. An Empire Style with intricate craftsmanship in cobalt blue baluster shaped lidded vase with elegant "swan figure" handles in rich gold enamel raised on round base. It features a painting of Napoleon Bonaparte and his Officers on horseback at a battlefield, inscribed "Clausel" and all sides hand painted with gold floral motifs and gold band ring accents. It has visible hallmark of Limoges France, MNP (Maison Nouvelle de la Porcelaine) by founder CamilleTharaud early 1900, (Manufacture Nouvelle de Porcelaine) under his son in law Robert de Merindol late 1950's and later became Artoria Limoges under the administrations of grandson's Thierry de Merindol. Façon Main, handcrafted in Limoges France circa 1950's. The vase is in very good condition with minor traces of wear consistent to age, there might be light reflections in some pictures. This piece represents the French finesse with main focus to details and quality, a truly eye catching art piece!
