An original vintage oil on canvas painting by Leon Ferdinand Dieperinck (Belgium, 1917-2010). This oil painting features Bruges, it's medieval bridge and houses, one with crow-stepped gable architecture. Leon Dieperinck was a Belgian 20th C. figurative painter who belongs to the "Brugse School". He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges and further art enrichment at the Academy in Brussels. His main themes were harbor views, flemish countryside landscapes, Bruges cityscapes and interiors. He was active in creating artworks for stage sets, floats and caricatures and also publicity images. He had his own gallery at Hoefijzerlaan in Bruges, he was an active member of the "Contemporary Art Association" and of the "Iris Art Circle" in Bruges.

This artwork has visible signature of the artist on the lower right corner, a metal plaque on the original lacquered wood frame and also hand signed on the back of the canvas. In very good condition with traces of wear and other minor details consistent to age. Kindly refer to the images as integral part of the descriptions. I do my best to provide photos that honestly reflect the character of the piece. Actual colors may vary slightly from photos.  This charming work is ready to hang on the wall!
