An exquisite large pair of antique French gilt and patinated bronze candelabra. Each candelabra, in heavy quality represents an exceptional detailed craftsmanship depicting richly ornated finial, having six branches holding floral form bobeche with side buttons and upper, lower cornet shape ornaments. Chiseled central column decorated with three top scrolling acanthus leaves, three alternate acanthus leaves and snakes with pointed spikes.  At the base of the stem sits three playing putti highlighted on foliated scrolls having in between crowned coat of arms plaques. The candelabra are set on triform plinth atop the bronze bases. Made in France mid 1800.  In very good condition with traces of wear, one missing spike under a snake and one putto with a bit lighter patina almost unnoticeable and other minor details consistent to age.   An eye catcher pieces with impressive gilding and patinated sheen that will contribute character to a unique interior!
