Attractive antique oil on panel portrait of a dog sitting in front of a door entitled "Indecision" by Auguste Filieu - d'apres Lanshire, french school - active and lived in Luxembourg. Very charming color hues, details and the expression, nestled in gilt wood and stucco frame. At the back is the detail:  inventory of paintings, public sale-an auction ministered by notary Bergham's on wed. 25 Nov. 1896 in Ostend, Belgium. The oil painting in very good condition, the frame having some flakes, retouches, gilt fading and other minor details commensurate to wear and age. Kindly refer to the pictures as integral part of the descriptions.  I do my best to provide photos that honestly reflect the character of the piece. Actual colors may vary slightly from photos.
