Attractive antique school terrestial globe by French georgrapher and carthographer Joseph Forest and edited by Girard and Barrère publishers at 17-19 rue de Buci in Paris. This charming terrestrial globe is made of papier maché in the scale 65,000,000 (one millimeter for 65 km) and raised on a square wooden base. It has french abbreviated text "Fournisseurs des écoles depuis 1889, agréé par le Ministère de l'Instruction Publique", authorised suppliers of globes, maps and plans to schools since 1889 and approved by the Ministry of Public Instruction. Made in Paris, France during early 1900.  In good used condition with traces of wear, patina, dents and other details consistent to age as part of its historical content and decorative character.
