Impressive pair of high quality gilt and patinated bronze fireplace andirons. Each fireplace chenet features a putto with grapevines sitting on an urn shape pillar, richly decorated with garlands, foliages and acanthus scrolls in Louis XV style. It has metal support on the back for stability. Made in France around 1850's.  In very good condition traces of wear and other details consistent to age.
