Superb 17th Century Italian Putto, a naked child carved wood statuette. Sculpted with great mastery as to the facial expression, the carvings of hairlines and body parts and the original polychrome radiates the influence of European Baroque Art, Made of solid wood detachable from the custom made metal base.  In very good condition with missing fingers and toes lost through the years, few age crackings on wood, minor old treated holes, patina fading and minor few details consistent to age. A charming piece that will add character to a unique interior!
