An attractive figural mantle clock depicting Amor and Psyche.  The mantle clock is made of bronze and spelter adorned with lovely shells, floral, foliate and C scroll details. The dial is made of enameled porcelain with handpainted images of a windmill and its surrounding scenery. A mechanical movement with the original key in working order which strikes a bell half an hour and the full hours counted by lovely sound of chimes. The movement is marked Medaille D''Honneur Japy Freres of Paris, France, circa 1870's. In good condition with traces of wear and details consistent to its age.
